Welcome to our Mosport Arrive and Drive Racing League (MADRL)!

This is where all professional racing drivers started! MADRL is a rookie karting league to help get people of all ages to come together and share the love of go-karting! Here is where you will learn the basics and learn LOTS of other skills from not only our very helpful staff/coaches but also from other participants around you. MADRL also offers options to move up to our competitive club level also hosted here at Mosport Karting Centre.

How Do I Get Started?

The first thing needed to get started is to purchase your yearly membership! From there, you will be required to book your rookie training session through our booking tool. Please select a day that works best for you.

What are the costs of participating in MADRL?

The membership fee for the year is $110 + HST. The mandatory rookie training session that is needed to be completed prior to any other track time is $79.99 + HST

What Are the Requirements/What Do I Need?

Our Mosport Arrive and Drive Racing League requires you to purchase a membership and participate in a rookie training session.

The equipment that is needed is close toed shoes, gloves, and a rib vest. We also require suits and helmets, but our facility has these for a rental charge of $10 each if needed.

Am I able to come try it out for a day?

Yes! We do offer daily membership fees for $25! From there, we do require that you complete a mandatory rookie training session. If you wish to continue with us afterwards, we will honour your daily membership fee and take it off the yearly membership cost.

Do I have to participate in the races?

No! We offer lots of practice options if you wish to just get the seat time in before putting yourself in a race! These can be seen on our calendar listed as, “Option 1 & Option 2 Practice”. If you do wish to race, we will require you to pick a racing schedule as listed on our schedule, just to ensure we can assign your race finishing points properly.

How Do I Get Started?

To get started, you will need your own kart. With MIKA, you will need a membership as well. From here, you can participate in any of our club races or open practice days. To see track availability, check out our calendar to see practice times and race dates.

What Are the Requirements/What Do I Need?

MIKA requires that you have your own kart and equipment. We do sell karts/chassis’, driving equipment, parts, motors, and all your other racing needs here at the facility!

Here at MIKA, you do not require a membership if you wish to just come practice but, we do offer discounts to our MIKA members and will only allow non-members to participate in a maximum of 2 races.

GROUP EVENTS FAQ’s

DOES MOSPORT OFFER CONCESSION OR RENTAL KARTS?

It’s important to note, we are not a rental kart track, however we do provide a group and corporate event structures that could suit your requirements.

COST OF A GROUP AND/OR CORPORATE EVENT AT MOSPORT KARTING CENTRE

$185 + HST per person (minimum of 10 people)

WHAT DOES THE GROUP EVENT INCLUDE

  • An annual Membership to our Arrive and Drive Racing League (MADRL) following your event
  • Sufficient training and instructions
  • 3-4 hours approx. of the karting facility to your group
  • A unique karting experience

CATERING & MEETING SPACES

All catering and/or meeting space inquires are handled through our partners at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park – The Grand Prix Race Track & Conference Centre within our grounds.

At the time of inquiry, should this be of interest, please let us know and will be put in contact with CTMP’s contact who will organize, manage and facilitate your catering and/or meeting space needs.

*Please note all costs and invoicing associated to catering and/or meeting spaces are handled and invoiced directly through CTMP and will not be included within the Mosport Karting Centre Group Event Invoice and Contract.

DRESS CODE / APPROPRIATE ATTIRE

Safety equipment provided – helmet, suit and gloves

Clothing Considerations:
– Running shoes or shoes that tighten with laces

* Open-toe or heeled shoes are NOT permitted
* Mandatory – Individuals with long hair are required to tie their hair back and tuck any exposed hair into their race suit

AGE RESTRICTIONS

Minimum age is 16 years of age.

MINIMUM OR MAXIMUM # OF PEOPLE

We can accommodate a variety of groups and sizes

Minimum of 10 people required
10-15 is the recommended on-track group size.

We will of course accommodate larger groups. Please note: larger groups are split into separate groups (Group A; Group B) to ensure safety on track, adequate track time and for the best race experience

WHAT TYPE OF KARTS DO WE HAVE?

  • Brand-new fleet as of 2020, World Champion BirelART Racing Karts
  • Maintained after each use
  • karts are capable of speeds up to 80km per hour.

These Racing karts are equipped with adjustable seat and pedals for drivers of all sizes. And we are required to ensure anyone who uses the equipment is properly educated before use. We take the safety of our members and patrons extremely seriously.

  • Full instruction & training required for operating karts and using the track

Sample structure:
1 Practice and qualifying session followed by a pre-final and final race

Additionally, we do offer alternative formats (i.e. Endurance races) and are happy to assemble a format that meets the needs of your group within the parameters set-out by our facility.

HOW TO BOOK AND CONFIRM A DATE

Dates, are based on availability. First come, first serve basis. Once you’ve decided on a preferred date and we have confirmed available, a 50% deposit of the total cost of the booking is required to hold firm. A contract and credit card authorization form will be provided upon confirming a date.

*Confirmation and remaining payment based on the total number of participants is required 7 days before the event takes place.
