Kid Karts

Mosport Karting Centre is excited to launch the Kid Kart Program, designed for young motorsport enthusiasts ages 4–7. This entry-level program introduces kids to karting in a safe, structured environment, building confidence and fundamental driving skills.

Our program is tailored for rookies and beginners through practice sessions led by qualified instructors. As drivers progress, they may be approved for Group A and gain access to the Introduction to Racing component—teaching rules, regulations, formats, and procedures of competitive club karting during select MIKA Race Events.

Note: This program is for families who own kid karts. Rentals are available upon request.

Age Eligibility: 4 years old until the end of the calendar year in which they turn 8.

Group B – Introduction to Kid Karts | For first-time participants with no prior experience. Focus on basic skills. Does not include racing introduction.

Group A – Advanced Kid Karts | For experienced drivers. Eligible to participate in the Introduction to Racing component on scheduled days (instructor approval required).

2-Hour Coaching Events | Focused, small‑group sessions ideal for new drivers or those advanced drivers wanting to refine core skills.

4-Hour Coaching Events | Extended-format coaching designed for deeper skill development, race‑craft fundamentals, and increased track time.

👉 Each scheduled day is either Group A & B OR Group A-only.

Hold a valid 2026 MIKA Club Membership.

Register for each event in advance.

Parents/crew must hold an Associate Membership to access the grid.

Parent/guardian must be present at all sessions.

First-time drivers require an instructor on track.

All forms must be submitted before participation.

Track time on the schedule is dedicated to Kid Karts only.

Group A drivers in Intro to Racing receive a participation award (no trophies, no timing).

Only approved “Bambino” karts (770–850 mm wheelbase).

Recommended weight: 164 lbs / 74 kg.

Engine options: Honda GHX50 (recommended), Honda GX35, Comer C50.

Safety gear: Snell-FIA CM/CMH or SFI 24.1 helmets, abrasion-resistant suit, gloves, shoes, optional body protection.
